Adidas Prevails in Appeal Against Shareholder Claims Linked to Kanye West

Court sides with Adidas in appeal over Kanye West collaboration

Adidas has successfully defended itself against an appeal from investors who accused the company of concealing misconduct associated with rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West, known as Ye, prior to the dissolution of their partnership in 2022.

A court in San Francisco concluded that the sportswear titan did not mislead its shareholders, who argued they suffered financial losses when Adidas shares fell sharply after the company severed ties with West.

The collaboration with West’s Yeezy brand had once been among Adidas’ most lucrative alliances, but the partnership’s downfall, triggered by a series of anti-Semitic remarks made by the rapper, resulted in significant financial repercussions for the brand.

Attempts to contact Adidas for a statement were unsuccessful, and there was no response from the law firm leading the class action or West’s representatives.
