Beyoncé Achieves Billionaire Status, According to Forbes

Beyoncé declared a billionaire by Forbes

Beyoncé has officially reached billionaire status, as reported by Forbes, marking a significant milestone in her illustrious career and making her the fifth artist to be included in the ranks of the world’s wealthiest individuals.

This American icon now stands alongside a prestigious circle of musicians boasting 10-figure net worths, which includes notable names like Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Bruce Springsteen, and her spouse Jay-Z, whose wealth is estimated at $2.5 billion.

Earlier this month, Forbes assessed Beyoncé’s fortune at approximately $800 million and anticipated that she would soon breach the billion-dollar mark, a testament to her sustained success over the years.

Record-Breaking Tours and Successful Projects

Her 2023 Renaissance World Tour garnered nearly $600 million, solidifying her status as one of the leading figures in pop music alongside Taylor Swift.

Additionally, she produced a cinematic version of her concert, which was her first solo tour in seven years, and released it through a partnership with AMC theaters, allowing her to earn nearly half of the film’s impressive $44 million global box office revenue.

Beyoncé’s 2024 album, Cowboy Carter, which celebrates the African American roots of country music, received widespread acclaim and won the Grammy for Album of the Year, marking her first victory in a category where she had been nominated four times previously.

Tour Success and Financial Performance

Forbes estimates that the Cowboy Carter tour, featuring appearances from her husband Jay-Z, two of their three children, and former Destiny’s Child members, amassed over $400 million in ticket sales, along with an additional $50 million in merchandise revenue.

While the tour set ticket sales records at venues like London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Paris’s Stade De France, it faced challenges with slow ticket sales, prompting promoters to reduce prices to fill seats.

Despite this, the tour offered the highest-priced tickets of any artist performing in the UK in 2025, priced at £950, while the most affordable option was set at £71.

Additional Earnings and Comparisons

A special halftime performance for Netflix’s inaugural Christmas Day NFL game generated an estimated $50 million, in addition to $10 million from a series of commercials for Levi’s.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg’s billionaire index has included Selena Gomez as a musician with a reported net worth of $1.3 billion in 2024. However, Forbes has challenged this valuation, estimating Gomez’s wealth to be around $700 million.
