Prospective drivers are facing an extensive wait for practical driving tests, as a recent report indicates that the backlog will persist until November 2027. The National Audit Office (NAO) highlighted that 1.1 million tests scheduled for the 2020/21 financial year were not conducted due to the Covid-19 pandemic, with approximately 360,000 still pending booking.
