Trump Claims Iran Has Halted Executions Amid Ongoing Unrest

President Donald Trump asserted that Tehran has ceased its execution plans against protesters, although he has not dismissed the possibility of U.S. military intervention in response to the Iranian government’s violent suppression of dissent.

Both the United States and the United Kingdom are scaling back their personnel at the Al-Udeid air base located in Qatar, with officials indicating that this partial withdrawal is being undertaken as a precautionary step.

In a significant move, Iran’s airspace was closed to most flights for a five-hour duration overnight, prompting several airlines to announce the rerouting of their journeys to avoid Iranian airspace.

The British Foreign Office has also announced the temporary closure of its embassy in Tehran, which will now function remotely, according to a government representative.
