The mother of a young girl who tragically lost her life while imitating a dangerous social media challenge is urging for educational initiatives on the perils of solvent misuse.

Sonia Hopkin is devastated following the passing of her 13-year-old daughter, Tiegan Jarman, who was discovered unresponsive in her bedroom in Thurmaston, Leicestershire, on March 6.

According to Mrs. Hopkin, Tiegan died while attempting to replicate an online trend known as chroming, inspired by videos she had encountered on TikTok.

A petition has been initiated, advocating for the integration of lessons on solvent abuse into school curricula.

In a heart-wrenching statement, Mrs. Hopkin, a healthcare worker at Leicester Royal Infirmary, revealed that Tiegan was declared dead at the scene after being found unconscious at her father’s residence.
